Joshua was admonishing his people in a farewell address. He asks them to review their experience:
Joshua 23:14 You know with all your heart and soul that not one of all the good promises the Lord your God gave you has failed. Every promise has been fulfilled; not one has failed.
He could have talked about his own memories; I’m sure they were rather rich. But he knows that their own record will be more persuasive than any other.
You and I need to have a memory of our own experiences. I hope you are taking mental memories, which seem stronger than any photograph or image. God is with us; we are doing alright by His grace.
Joshua 24:16 Then the people answered, “Far be it from us to forsake the Lord to serve other gods! 17 It was the Lord our God himself who brought us and our parents up out of Egypt, from that land of slavery, and performed those great signs before our eyes. He protected us on our entire journey and among all the nations through which we traveled.
Be Blessed!
Pastor Albert
“Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? 13 If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"
Luke 11:11 - 13
Due to the contagious COVID-19, church is closed until it is safe to open.
If you need groceries, other supplies, or other types of assistance, please don't hesitate to contact your church family in regards to how we can help you.
Celine M. writes: The online option is very easy and convenient. I recently set up the recurring option so I don't even have to think about it. And if you want my opinion, I also think people like me who don't always carry cash will find this very useful. My tithe, church budget and Sabbath school offerings are all set up regularly. I only update special offerings such as Pathfinders...
From the Saniku East-West Language School (An Adventist Ministry on our Campus): In response to the church board greatly reducing their rent, we received two notes from their school leaders:
Thank you very much for your email with good news for us. We are very grateful for your church board action. Please send our best regard to your board members.
Last year, in April, we started with 90 students. This April, our enrollment is 59 students. It is our prayer that we can increase the enrollment after summer. The Parents Association is planning more advertising…. Thank you again for your kind prayers. Your help is not only appreciated but is a critical contribution to our program.
Leadership Meetings (in person) will await the green light from our Headquarters, the Covid Response Committee. Our inquiry about when we can have such meetings is being considered, according to our Region Director, Pastor Danny Chan.
Southern California Conference COVID 19 Relief Fund (Quoted from a Letter to Churches):
The Southern California Conference recognizes the financial strain that work restrictions have placed on many people throughout the conference as a result of COVID-19 shelter-in-place recommendations. In an effort to provide financial assistance to those most in need, the Southern California Conference would like to ask you to partner with us as, together, we grow a financial assistance fund that will help those who need it most at this critical time. This relief fund is intended to assist members who can demonstrate that, as a direct result of COVID-19, they have experienced a loss of income from the following: Job Loss; Job Furlough or Reduced Work Hours.
Contributions to this fund can be made through the Adventist Giving website (see below).
Our Church Members, who may need financial assistance, should apply our local church first. See the "Ongoing" section below.

I am inviting you to study Steps to Christ with me for six sessions, one per week. If you are interested, I am including a link for you to download lesson #1, “God’s Love for Man”.

100 Days of Prayer:
This is a World Church call to prayer. By email, once per day, I get a reminder to pray, scripture promises to claim, a devotional thought, and the opportunity to join others in prayer and fellowship. If you are looking for a daily devotional this is a great place to start.
Financial Help: The Church Board has set aside funds to help those in our church family who have been financially impacted by the pandemic. If you would like to receive such help, please contact one of the Elders directly (Betsy Adams, Raymond Barnes, Janet Barnhill, Janet Lui, Dahlma Osborne), or call me, Pastor Albert, at the Church Office. There are details and a process so that this will be confidential and smooth.

John 20:19 On the evening of that first day of the week,
when the disciples were together,
with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders,
Jesus came and stood among them and said,
“Peace be with you!”
Quoted by Pastor Danny Chan in a devotional for Region Pastors
(He talked about the disciples in "lockdown")
