Luke 10:24 “What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?”
Dear Church Family,
I will pose this question at our upcoming Sabbath School Class. I’m wondering, what are you reading that sustains you at this time?
I am revisiting the book that first nudged me toward conversion, the book of Romans. I happened to listen as it was read aloud by an app on my phone. It is a fresh way for me to 'read'. And I found myself enjoying it and understanding its message in a new way.
I hope you are finding fresh ways to hear God’s message. Some of us are going to tune in to “Hope Awakens” from It Is Written. Some of us are appreciating the “100 Days of Prayer” which sends an email every day.
Please drop us a line, “How do you read…?”
Pastor Albert
John 14:25 “All this I have spoken while still with you. 26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
[This Scripture will be the subject of our next Mid-week Bible Study, Wednesdays.]
Due to the contagious COVID-19, church is closed until it is safe to open.
If you need groceries, other supplies, or other types of assistance, please don't hesitate to contact your church family in regards to how we can help you.
Cheryl Rudley has passed to her rest earlier this week. She had cancer. Some of us knew about her illness and prayed for her. Jeannie, her daughter, thanks us for continuing prayer as the family grieves.
This Sabbath’s Message will be brought to us by our new Region Director, Elder Danny Chan. He was originally scheduled to come and meet with us, so he is now meeting with us by the Zoom meeting.
Zoom attendance is growing as more and more members and friends ‘tune in’. One member said, “I didn’t realize that it was this easy to join in! I’ll be here every Sabbath.”
From Myrna Frame: Hello: Just a note….I am well in Nevada…things are better here as the crowds are not as much in the markets now and people seem to be out and about more…I am not sure that is good, but the streets have lots of cars on them…not as many as normal, but a whole lot more than CA….I am well, staying at home mostly except for food runs and the post office…Miss everyone… I am praying for this to end soon and for all of us get back to work and normal activities…How does everyone get a very small sample of end times ..more to come…we are in training..
Please Write and tell us how you are doing. Address your remarks to the "Church Family", so we know it is alright with you to share.
Pastor Albert and Linda welcomed their first grandchild, a son, born today. For those who like details? He weighs in at 8 pounds 3 ounces; 22 inches long; born 8:46 a.m. in Loma Linda. Parents Jon and Jessica are still deciding upon a name; Pastor and Linda are practicing calling each other “Grandpa” or “Grandma”, and grinning a lot.
Pastor Albert is doing much better. He had a bout of heart arrhythmia, yesterday, a first for him. He was admitted to the hospital where a normal heartbeat was restored. He was kept overnight for observation. Prayer meeting was held without him, but with many prayers for him. “Thank you for your prayers,” Pastor Albert says. “I'm very glad for the support of our church community!"
ONGOING:
100 Days of Prayer:
This is a World Church call to prayer. By email, once per day, I get a reminder to pray, scripture promises to claim, a devotional thought, and the opportunity to join others in prayer and fellowship. If you are looking for a daily devotional this is a great place to start.
Financial Help: The Church Board has set aside funds to help those in our church family who have been financially impacted by the pandemic. If you would like to receive such help, please contact one of the Elders directly (Betsy Adams, Raymond Barnes, Janet Barnhill, Janet Lui, Dahlma Osborne), or call me, Pastor Albert, at the Church Office. There are details and a process so that this will be confidential and smooth.
Reach Your Pastor: I am forwarding the church phone (310/541-1819) to my home phone (424/206-2949) and though it often has bad reception you can call my cell phone (626/826-8448) or text me. Email works, too: albertfrederico@gmail.com

2 He replied, “When evening comes, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red,’ 3 and in the morning, ‘Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.
