Dear Church Family,

Today I received some good advice from one of our Pastors at the Conference Office.  We were talking about Governor Newsome’s statement that some churches might be able to open in about six weeks, late June or early July.  And, we talked about the need to plan ahead for the reopening of our church.  He said, "It is the right time to begin planning!"

So, I am writing to ask:

What do you want our church to look like when we reopen?

What should we be like, or maybe do differently, so that you could ask your friends and family to come with you to church, and be comfortable when you invite them?

I want to meet with our Church Board and Outreach Team soon to begin answering these important questions.  (I will write them in a separate email.)  Your input would be valuable.  So, if you could, please drop us a line or even give us a call, it would be most appreciated.

For example, I have long thought that we will need a reopening celebration of some kind, with lots of testimonies and thanksgiving, and singing.  Lots of singing.  I miss that very much!

Our Conference Officers are monitoring county and state directives regarding when and how we might reopen.  We will abide by their advice.  

Here is one last question:

Will you please pray for our church?  We depend on the Head of the Church, the Lord Jesus, to lead us.  We ask for His guidance; His ways; His kingdom.
